Fergie's is one of the Sea to Sky's hidden gems. They have some of the best breakfast and lunch options anywhere and it's always amazing. When the restaurant burned down last year I was devastated. As I was trying to find more info on what had happened, I found their website to be in major need of an upgrade. I created this one page, mobile friendly website as an homage to one of my favorite local eateries.
I wanted to give the homepage a warm and inviting feel because that's what Fergie's is all about. There's nothing like sipping your coffee next to the wood stove surrounded by friends. The color scheme for the website is taken from the background photo, the warm orange tones being pulled from the wood trim.
It's was important to me to tell the story of Fergie's in a visually appealing way, showcasing the food as much as possible throughout the site. There is an interesting story and a lot of history attached to this place.
This page makes me hungry. The food, presentation and atmosphere make Fergie's the go to breakfast spot for many locals and tourists. I wanted to showcase the beautiful photography of some signature dishes on their menu in the gallery to whet the appetites of potential visitors.
A simple contact form, contrasting address and other contact info below, followed a bright orange to highlight the social accounts. These little touches are essential from an SEO standpoint as they help drive traffic to your other accounts and increase searchability.
